This year, we’re pleased to announce that five new members will be inducted: Jerry York (hockey), Billie Moore (basketball), Jim Longacre (baseball), Joan Benoit Samuelson (track & field), and Cyril Stackelberg (lacrosse).
The Maine Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship is open to any Maine high school senior who plans to pursue a career in athletics. The scholarship will be awarded based on academic achievement, athletic accomplishment, financial need, and an essay about why athletics are important.
