NBC Sports – Regional Sports Networks
NBC Sports Regional Networks is the collective name of a group of regional sports networks in the United States that are primarily owned and operated by the NBCUniversal division of the cable television channel NBC.
These channels air nationally-available sporting events televised by NBC, including Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, NASCAR and college sports. The channels show live games as well as pre-recorded broadcasts(such as rebroadcasts of earlier games), and some also produce their own original programming.

NBC Sports – History
NBC Sports is the programming division of the American broadcast network NBC, owned by the NBCUniversal Television Group subsidiary of NBCUniversal, that is responsible for sports broadcasts on the network, and its dedicated national sports cable channels. NBC Sports’ coverage includes the Olympic Games, NFL, NASCAR, NHL, Notre Dame Football, PGA Tour Golf, IndyCar Series, the English Premier League (via service provider Peacock), and horse racing (through subsidiary Horse Racing TV).
In 2000, NBC was awarded the U.S. broadcast rights to the Summer Olympics for a then-unprecedented $3.5 billion payment; it has since renewed its contract four times to cover every Summer and Winter Olympics through 2032. The company is also serving as the exclusive home for live broadcasts of all National Lacrosse League games and events on FloSports through 2021 under a previously announced agreement.
