Alabama
The University of Alabama has the most national championships in all sports with a total of 27.
UCLA
Including any and all sports, UCLA has the most national championships with 118. Stanford is in second place with 106, followed by USC with 103.
USC
USC Trojans – 127 (Last one: 2019 Men’s Volleyball)
The USC Trojans have won the most national championships of any school in the country, with 127 total championships. The Trojans have especially dominated in men’s volleyball, winning 19 national titles in the sport. In 2019, USC won its most recent national championship in men’s volleyball.
Stanford
When it comes to national championships in all sports, Stanford holds the top spot. With 126 championships overall, Stanford has more than double the number of any other school. This is especially impressive given that Stanford only competes in 27 sports, while other schools may compete in upwards of 40.
Though not as dominant in every sport as they are overall, Stanford still boasts a strong showing in individual sports. They have won the most NCAA championships in men’s tennis (17), women’s tennis (22), and men’s water polo (11), and are tied for the most NCAA championships in women’s volleyball (8). In total, Stanford athletes have won 341 individual NCAA titles.

Oklahoma currently holds the most national championships in all sports with a total of 51. The school has won championships in football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, gymnastics, and more.
Florida
Florida has the most NCAA national championships in all sports with 142.
Texas
Texas Longhorns athletics programs include the extramural and intramural sports teams of The University of Texas at Austin. These teams are referred to as the “Longhorns,” and their colors are burnt orange and white. The University of Texas at Austin is a founding member of the Big 12 Conference. It is currently the only sports team in the Big 12 Conference that does not sponsor football.
Michigan
Michigan has the most national championships in all sports, with a total of 35.
Ohio State
Looking at all sports, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Southern California (USC) are tied for the most national championships with 12 apiece. However, if we look just at football, Ohio State comes out on top with 8 national titles.
Arkansas
In terms of all sports, Arkansas has the most national championships with 52.
